We have changed. The Care Standards Tribunal has become part of the Tribunals Service, an executive agency of the Department for Constitutional Affairs. This move away from the Department of Health is one result of the Report of the Review of Tribunals by Sir Andrew Leggatt: Tribunals for Users - One System, One Service that was published on 16 August 2001.
These changes will not affect the procedures of the Tribunal or reduce the level of service provided. If you would like to know more please contact the CST Secretariat or visit www.tribunals-review.org.uk
or the Tribunals Service website.
