National minimum standards
The CSCI, CHAI, Ofsted and the Welsh Ministers also operate by applying National Minimum Standards in relation to particular services. National Minimum Standards are applied in respect of:
NMS for care homes/agencies (CSCI or the Welsh Ministers)
- Care Homes for Older People
- Adult placements
- Care Homes for adults 18-65
- Domiciliary Care
- Nurses Agencies
- Children's Homes
- Adoption
- Residental Family Centres
- Fostering Services
NMS for independent healthcare (CHAI or the Welsh Ministers)
- Private and Voluntary Healthcare
- Medical Agencies
NMS for under 8s - day care and childminding (Ofsted or the Welsh Ministers)
- Full Day Care
- Creches
- Sessional Care
- Out of School Care
- Childminding
